The execution

The open Can-Am car of 1969 — “PA” for Porsche+Audi, the US importer. Siffert drove it to fourth in the championship; its raised tail helped point the way to the K.

Two built: 027 stayed a works test hack and later carried the experimental 16-cylinder engine in a lengthened frame; 028 raced the 1969 Can-Am season with Jo Siffert, best result third at Bridgehampton. Neither has ever crossed a public auction block.

On the record

- Two built — 027 the test car, 028 the racer
- Siffert: 4th, Can-Am 1969
- 027 later tested the 6.0–7.2L flat-16 (“a monster” — Donohue)
- No public auction sale on record
