The execution
The first works evolution: 255 hp in early race form, 300 hp with water injection and 325 hp after enlargement to 2.1 litres.
RM calls 28 cars Evolution 1. Motorsport Almanac instead gives 21 evolution cars without explaining the difference. Chassis 319 first appeared in Evo 1 specification at Madeira in 1982; the 1983 label describes the mature title campaign, not the specification's debut.
