Ghibli

A wedge with four cams

Giorgetto Giugiaro shaped it; its engine is a dry-sump quad-cam V8. Coupés are the entry; SS specification, manual gearboxes and the 125 factory Spyders sit higher. Production totals conflict, so a build sheet matters.

How to read this forecast

P50 is the model median. The outer shading spans P10–P90; the darker band spans P25–P75. These are model quantiles, not verified probabilities or observed sale prices. The calculation extends the modeled trend and volatility; it does not include new listings, vehicle condition or transaction costs.

Overview

A lower line around an existing V8

The Ghibli appeared on Ghia's stand at the Turin Motor Show on 3 November 1966. Giorgetto Giugiaro drew a long-bonnet fastback with retractable lamps and a nose low enough to force an engineering response beneath it.

Giulio Alfieri led the Maserati side. Dry-sump lubrication lowered the V8, Vignale produced the steel body and aluminium bonnet, and customer deliveries began in March 1967.

The 4.9-litre SS and Spyder joined in 1969. Production ended in 1973, leaving one family with materially different values: standard coupé, SS coupé, Spyder and SS Spyder.
