The execution

The original naturally aspirated 917/10 — two spyders, one a works test car and one Jo Siffert’s 1971 Can-Am racer.

Chassis 001 served as the test car; 002 carried Jo Siffert through the 1971 Can-Am season. Their 5.0-litre flat-12 made about 630 PS without turbocharging, before the later 917/10 TC programme.
