The execution

The turbocharged 917/10 TC took the 1972 Can-Am title with George Follmer and ended McLaren’s five-year reign.

Existing 917/10 chassis were developed into the twin-turbo TC specification rather than forming a separately countable production run. George Follmer used the 5.0-litre car to win the 1972 Can-Am championship.
