Purosangue

Four doors, twelve cylinders

Ferrari's first four-door, four-seater — and pointedly not, in Maranello's language, an SUV: a mid-front 725-cv V12 over a rear transaxle, active Multimatic dampers instead of anti-roll bars, and welcome doors that open backwards. Production is capped at a fifth of Ferrari's volume, which keeps the waiting list longer than the options sheet.

The 2023–24 allocation era printed well over list — $690'000 on Bring a Trailer in November 2024 remains the public record. As 18-month no-resale clauses rolled off, UK hammers settled at £300k–£359k and the market moved back toward well-optioned invoice money.

The band tracks cleared public auctions of 2025–26 — mostly Collecting Cars and Bring a Trailer — for ordinary-mileage cars; US dealer asks of $530k–$630k are asking prices, not transactions.

Overview

The four-door Maranello swore it would never build

Sergio Marchionne's line on a Ferrari SUV — that you would have to shoot him first — lasted until 2017, when it softened into 'will probably happen'. The F175 project was confirmed in September 2018, and the name told the strategy: Purosangue, thoroughbred, a claim that whatever this was, it would not be filed among the sport-utilities.

The reveal came on 13 September 2022 at Andrea Bocelli's Teatro del Silenzio in Tuscany: a four-door, four-seat car with a naturally aspirated 725-cv V12 mounted mid-front over a rear transaxle, active Multimatic dampers replacing anti-roll bars, and rear welcome doors hinged backwards. Within weeks the order books closed with about two years of production spoken for; by May 2023 a new order meant a 2026 delivery.

Deliveries began in mid-2023, the design took the Compasso d'Oro in 2024, and the Handling Speciale calibration followed in 2026. The volume stays capped at a fifth of Ferrari's shipments — the resale market did the rest, printing $690'000 for a near-new car in late 2024 before settling back toward list as the no-resale clauses expired.
